Fund For Lesbian and Gay Ministry
Grant Request
The SSND Fund for Lesbian and Gay Ministry has been established for the purpose of financing projects/organizations/ individuals ministering with and for persons who are lesbian and gay. Each fiscal year up to $20,000 will be distributed as long as the fund exists.
Rationale of the Fund
Urged by the love of Christ, the School Sisters of Notre Dame choose to express our mission through ministry directed toward education. For us, education means enabling persons to reach the fullness of their potential as individuals created in God's image and assisting them to direct their gifts toward building the earth. Like our foundress, Mother Theresa, we educate with the conviction that the world can be changed through the transformation of persons. Thus, our ministry demands a Christian vision of what the human person is called to be and what the world is destined to become.

General Criteria
- Areas of concern that will be considered for funding are:
- Spirituality
- Guidance
- Education
- Civic action
- Social activities
- Communication
- Parish life
- Funding up to $5000 will be considered for an individual project.
- Seed money for the establishment of a long-term project or one-time event will be considered.
- Recipients of funds must identify the SSND Fund for Lesbian and Gay Ministry as a source in any public accounting of monies.
- Recipients of funds must submit an evaluation form to the Fund Committee upon the completion of the funded project.
- Applications must be completed in full and submitted on time.
- Application deadlines are April 15 and September 15.

- Complete the Grant Request Form
- Attach a copy of the Financial Statement from the previous fiscal year (expense/income) and budget for this project and overall operation for the past fiscal year and current year to date.
- Return the completed Grant Request Form and financial information in one of the following ways:
- Email an attached Grant Request Form to pdukehart@amssnd.org or
