S. Henrice Eckert Honored by Superior Court Judge
On June 17, 2008, S. Henrice Eckert, SSND gave the invocation at the ceremony for the swearing in of newly appointed Superior Court Judge Alexander H. Carver III. The ceremony took place at the Bergen County Justice Courthouse in Hackensack, New Jersey. Present at the ceremony were state senators, over 40 district judges, many lawyers and invited guests. S. Henrice was introduced by the presiding official as Judge Carver’s friend and as the teacher of his children. Judge Carver and his family acknowledged S. Henrice as an educator “par excellance.” She has been friend, counselor and mentor to the Carver children and family for many years. S. Henrice currently serves as vice principal of Holy Family School in Norwood, New Jersey.
After the ceremony, there was a reception at the Florentine Gardens for over 350 dignities and invited guests. S. Carole Tabano was invited to accompany S. Henrice and was touched that, once again, an SSND had been honored and recognized for her professionalism and spirituality.
