NDP Celebrates SSND Foundation Day

The past, present and future of Notre Dame Preparatory School symbolically converged at a special liturgy and dedication of a new outdoor space on Foundation Day of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), held Tuesday, October 24.

Students, faculty, staff, special guests and honored SSND celebrated liturgy and attended a special dedi-cation of The Patricia Groeneninger Courtyard.  Containing the Anita Galvin Williams '47 Fountain and the statue Mother Theresa and NDP Student, the courtyard creates a new quad area for the school community and provides a visual reminder of the school’s mission, which is dedicated to educating young women to change the world.  The statue was given by the SSNDs to honor Sister Christine Mulcahy, SSND, eighth headmistress of NDP.
