Bequests

Please consider naming School Sisters of Notre Dame in your will. We thank those who have informed us that they have remembered School Sisters of Notre Dame in their will by inviting them to join our Blessed Theresa Society.

Blessed Mother Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger founded our SSND congregation in 1833. An innovator who brought education into the lives of poor girls, she had faith in God and in the future. Mother Theresa believed that the education of children was the key to a better world.  In appreciation for your gift, you will be remem bered in the daily prayers of our sisters and your name will be inscribed on a plaque.

If you choose to remember SSND in your will, please see your lawyer and add one of the following phrases to your will:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to the Atlantic-Midwest Province of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Inc., for its general purposes all (or state fraction) of the rest, residue, or remainder of my estate, whether real or personal.”

or

“I give to the Atlantic-Midwest Province of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Inc., the sum of __________ dollars to be used for the general purposes of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.”
