Katie Allston, Executive Director of our co-sponsored ministry Marian House, and Marylou Yam, President of Notre Dame of Maryland University, another of our sponsored ministries, are both being honored by The Daily Record for their work. Marylou is being recognized as one of Maryland's Top 100 Women, while Katie, a past winner of that award, is being honored this year as a 2020 Influential Marylander in the category of Philanthropy.
Maryland’s Top 100 Women recognizes high-achieving Maryland women who are making an impact through their leadership, community service and mentoring. Winners are selected by past Top 100 Women and business leaders. This is the 25th anniversary of the award.
Influential Marylanders was created to honor individuals who have made significant impacts in their field and continue to be leaders in Maryland. These individuals are selected by The Daily Record’s editors for their significant contributions to their respective fields and for their leadership in Maryland in the following areas: civic leadership; communications; education; finance; freestyle; general business; health care; law; philanthropy; real estate; and technology.
