Today marks one year since the introduction of H.R. 6, the Dream and Promise Act, a solution that helps people without hurting people which would protect immigrant youth, TPS and DED holders if it were to become law. Meanwhile, DACA recipients await a Supreme Court decision and whether or not the justices decide to uphold the highly successful program or put immigrant youth at risk of deportation.
The Home is Here coalition is fighting to protect DACA recipients, their families, and all immigrant communities. DACA is legal, constitutional, and it works. But if the Supreme Court Justices let the Trump Administration end DACA, it will endanger the futures of hundreds of thousands of members of our communities. Without protection, DACA recipients could lose their homes and their livelihoods. They could be added to the list of those in constant danger of being deported and could be separated from their families.
They encourage calling Congressional offices to take action with us digitally to commemorate one year since the introduction of H.R. 6, use their platforms to encourage immigrant youth to renew their DACA, and make it clear that our #HomeIsHere!
