Nayoun Kim is a freshman at the Academy of the Holy Angels, where she studies instrumental music with Mariann Annecchino and lends her considerable talents to the Academy’s music program. At Juilliard, she studies with Li Lin. Originally from South Korea, Kim has been playing the violin since she was five years old. She has performed with An Die Musik Philharmonia and the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, and was a featured musician in the Yong Tchaikovsky International Violin Camp. Kim has also participated in Switzerland’s Crans-Montana Summer Camp. She has won competitions in Korea and was a top prize winner in the Fifth Hong Kong International Violin Competition.
At the age of 10, Kim was highlighted on the Korean Educational Broadcast System’s program, “Parents.”
