Sister Marlene Panko and her little dog, Brandi, visited with each of the following Sisters recently to gather their thoughts about gratitude.
Sister Caritas Wehrman
I am grateful for my sister-in-law for all she does for me. I always look forward to her calls.

I love the large therapy dogs who come to Marian Village on a regular basis.
Brandi also comes to see me. She brings me happiness, too!
Sister Julice Bots
I am grateful for my 92 years!
I also am grateful for all the opportunities I had in ministry. I especially loved my time in Japan and Nepal. Namaste!
I also loved being the hostess back when the Chicago Province hosted jubilees, funerals, and other SSND events at a Chicago-area parish.
Sister Lucy Giacchetti
I am grateful for having been born in a beautiful village in Italy. The only language we knew was Italian!
When we came to the United States, we worked hard as a family to help each other learn English.
It proved to be a real blessing, as I was asked to be a translator at several events in Rome!
Sister Dottie Young
I am grateful each morning to be able to look outside my window and see all the trees, animals, and birds.
I am also grateful that I have been able to grow my little tomato plants!
Sister Jeanne Landry
I am grateful for the time I worked with Religious Ed teachers and helped them understand that they are to be like Jesus for the children.
Sister Jeanne McGue
I am grateful for the 101 years God has given to me!
I use the gift of sewing that God gave to me to make items for our Christmas Craft Fair.
I raised a significant amount of money which I donated to our Retirement Fund.
Also, I am grateful that we have Mass here each day.
