Advent is one of my favorite Church seasons.
I know both Advent and Lent are times of preparation - getting ready for what is to come.
For me, Lent is more of a "cleaning house," a time to get rid of bad habits.
Advent is more of decorating the house.
Advent is a time of deepening our love and kindness, and of finding new ways of caring.
Advent is decorating the house of ourselves, with all good things.
Even though I am grieving the loss of two dear friends, I "wait in joyful hope," for I know what's to come.
It's Advent!
