Keeping Our Neighbors Warm Together

By Anne MacNeil, LEAD Co-Coordinator

As winter forecasts predicted cold and snowy days, the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Waterdown proudly continued their cherished tradition of collecting gifts to place under the Tree of Hope.

This year, Laureate College participated as well!

Our shared mission was to ensure that no one spent this season cold, hungry, or alone.

Donations poured in! They ranged from cozy, hand-knitted items lovingly crafted by the Sisters to blankets and water bottles gifted by Laureate College.

These were just a few of the many thoughtful contributions that filled our Tree of Hope.

All items were donated to Good Shepherd, a Hamilton, Ontario organization inspired by the hospitality of St. John of God and rooted in Catholic teachings.

We are humbled and grateful to know that, through this initiative, our less-fortunate neighbors are now experiencing warmth, comfort, and love.

Together, we made a difference!
