Lent and Laudato Si’

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the publication of Laudato Si’ and the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. In this context, we enter the Lenten season. The resources below are suggested as resources for you to engage in Lent with a focus on integral ecology – on hearing the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. We invite you to consider using one (or more) that speaks to you:

•    Four Commitments Lenten Fast, by the JPIC Office
•    The Global Catholic Climate Movement’s resource, “Repenting of Ecological Sin and Cultivating Ecological Virtues.”
•    Maryknoll’s Lenten Reflection Guide 2020, “A Journey toward Ecological Conversion
•    “The Journey of a Man of Sorrows: Contemporary Stations of the Cross,” by Sister Peg Regan, Immigration Committee
•    “Praying the Stations of the Cross for Human Trafficking”
