A Prayer at Thanksgiving

I give thanks for the earth, cradling us in her arms,
her rivers and streams flowing like silver threads,
her harvest of water and food sustaining every breath.

I give thanks for the Sun, whose golden warmth awakens life,
and for the stars, myriads of light
scattered across the night sky.

I give thanks for every daughter who answered the quiet call to serve,
and for the countless Sisters whose footsteps have traced the path before us,
guiding us with courage and grace.

I give thanks for those whose lives intertwined with ours
helping to shape our mission
since the dream of Mother Theresa first blossomed.

And finally, I give thanks for God —
the Weaver of harmony, the Composer of all things good,
whose love threads through time to bind creation in a tapestry of blessing.

Amen.
