By Sister Miriam Patrick Cummings, SSND
As a youngster, I always decorated the Christmas Tree and enjoyed it as I prepared for Santa's arrival.
By the age of 8 or 9, though, the reality set in that there was no Santa Claus.
So I would now wrap the toys for my brother and sister, and, at the right time, put the toys under the tree.
I felt I was doing a grownup kind of job, and it was my secret!
But more than maintaining the secret, I was not disappointed that there was no Santa, because now I had become Santa.
