As a youngster, I always decorated the Christmas tree.
I loved preparing for Santa's arrival!
By the age of 8 or 9, though, the reality set in.
I learned there was no Santa Claus.
So I helped wrap toys for my brother and sister.
I helped put their gifts under the tree.
I felt I was doing a grownup kind of job, and it was my secret!
The disappointment of learning there was no Santa did not last.
Not only was I being thought of as a grownup, now I had become Santa!
