Feast Day of Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger
In the name of God our Creator, of Christ our Redeemer and Holy Sanctifier, we pray.
ALL: Trust and Dare.
Content with little, we joyfully direct our entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent.
Reading from Trust and Dare
To dare to risk something – small or great- because of deep trust in God and in others is a gift possessed by holy people. In the lives of such people, a decisive moment occurs in which the way of God is clear; from that moment, they dare anything and everything to do what they understand to be God’s will. Mary Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger was such a woman.
Blessed woman of vision:
Pray that we may learn to hope against hope.
Blessed Foundress of the School Sisters of Notre Dame:
Help us to risk innovative responses to the needs of our times.
Blessed Woman of Unity:
Help us to fulfill our mutual responsibility of being sister to one another.
Blessed Woman of Poverty:
Continue to show us how to stand before God empty, accepting our human-ness, clinging to nothing, and content with what we receive.
Reflect and share:
What does it mean to be content with little?
Give an example of how you trusted and dared.
O Holy Spirit, enlighten us, strengthen us, so that we may comprehend our divine call and recognize what we are, what we should be, what we must and really want to do in order to reach this goal.
