On Saturday, Sisters in Baltimore met up with students from Notre Dame Prep at a local grocery store to engage in a pilot “bag swap” initiative. The group handed out reusable bags – handmade by Sisters Virginia Brian and Clara Beall – to customers while displaying artwork created by the NDP students that reflected on issues of plastic pollution and biodiversity. The group was able to engage with many members of the local community in a public expression of solidarity with the community and our earth. We hope this “pilot” project will inspire more collaborative endeavors and will be preparing a video to document the experience. Stay Tuned!

Please join us in praying a novena in solidarity with migrants and refugees, during the Mexican celebration of Las Posadas (December 16-24), a religious tradition that commemorates Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem and their struggle to find refuge there.
