Going to See the Lilacs (Not!)

By Stacie Perreault, LEAD Co-Coordinator, Waterdown

Waterdown Sisters and staff visited the Royal Botanical Gardens (RGB) recently.

The RBG is made up of many different parks, and special parks for certain plants, nature, and life.

It was a beautiful day in spring to see the lilacs ... or so we thought. The lilacs were done blooming, and mostly just green bushes by now!

Apparently, they had an early and quick spring this year.

We did see and mostly smell some lilacs, and our Sisters enjoyed seeing some school children playing in the fields.

The other flowers were beautiful and we had a lovely time, anyway!

Sisters pictured below include Vivan Zoller, Marty Kimpel, Louise Vanderploeg , Mary Jeanne Davidson, and Joyce Smith.
