Caroline House (www.thecarolinehouse.org), an SSND sponsored ministry in Bridgeport, CT that provides English language instructions for immigrants, is seeking an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher (part-time, hourly) beginning in the fall term. Must be a SSND or CND (School Sister of Notre Dame/Congregation of Notre Dame).
The key activities of this position are to plan, organize and provide instruction in English that meets CASAS standards of competency.
Qualifications include a background in ESL/ELL (English Language Learners) that includes TEFL/TESOL/TESL certification or the equivalent teaching degree with experience, at least two years experience working with ELLs, and the ability to relate well to ELLs.
