As part of their Halloween, celebration, residents of The Watermark joined in a community talent show and enjoyed a well-attended Halloween party and Sing-Along, accompanied by piano and saxophone. Among the talent show acts were Sister Christina Murphy and her dummy, Happy, reminiscing about School Days and Halloween. Sister Justine Nutz was Lady Liberty with a quiz about the history and meaning of the statue, along with a group rendition of Irving Berlin's Give Me your Tired, Your Poor. and Luz, who previously worked in housekeeping at VND and now works at Watermark, showcasing her dance sills. For Halloween, Sister Maria Iannuccillo was a hippie, and Sister John Vianney Zullo was Bozo the Clown. Many party-goers were dressed in Halloween colors and all enjoyed punch and brownies during the festivities! (See Gallery Below)
The Sisters at Stella Maris (pictured right) also had a Halloween celebration. "They dressed in costumes, played games, and enjoyed Halloween candy, pumpkin cookies, and a pumpkin cake," Sister Rose Federici shared with us. "The Carmelite Sisters provided the cookies and cake. We had several visitors help with this fun event. The Sisters especially liked the candy corn bowling."
