Laudato Si’ – A Christian Prayer in Union With Creation

Prayer at the end of Laudato Si’:
…Triune Lord, wondrous community of infinite love,
teach us to contemplate you
in the beauty of the universe,
for all things speak of you.
Awaken our praise and thankfulness
for every being that you have made.
Give us the grace to feel profoundly joined
to everything that is…

Reflection

Other species are bearers of revelation. Each one “reflects in its own way a ray of God’s infinite wisdom and goodness” (L.S. 69). Each is a place where we can encounter God; since the Spirit of life dwells in them, they are a “locus of divine presence,” calling us into relationship with God. (L.S. 88)

Action

For our Season of Creation project for integral ecology, ask someone to take a photo of yourself in nature or submit your photo of nature and share your thoughts about it per the article in this newsletter.
