This week, the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote on two important immigration-related bills that would provide legal status to essential workers and Dreamers, among others. The Farm Workforce Modernization Act (H.R. 1603) would provide permanent residency for undocumented farmworkers, and the American Dream and Promise Act (H.R. 6) would create a pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients. Both of these bills have received bipartisan support in the past and have a good chance of passage - but we need your help!
School Sisters of Notre Dame stand in solidarity with our immigrant sisters and brothers. Immigrants are vital contributors to society and are most deserving of the relief these two bills would provide. Please join us in calling on Congress to support the American Dream and Promise Act (H.R.6) and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act (H.R. 1537)!
