The lovely congruence of Ash Wednesday with Valentine’s Day led to thoughts of a Lenten symbol for all of us at Watermark. Five Sisters - Regine Bruder, Connie Carrigan, Kate Kinnally, Justine Nutz, and Peggy O’Brien - are making 150 small refrigerator magnets to be given to our Sisters, other residents, and staff of our Watermark Community at the Ash Wednesday Liturgy.
A banner with the enlarged symbol will grace the lectern on all six Lenten Sundays.
Ashes on our foreheads will soon wash off, but the Heart + Cross magnets on refrigerator doors will be a daily reminder to be faithful to our Lenten Journey of the Heart.
