Last week, our 17 Sisters at Ozanam gathered with some of the residents to celebrate two SSND birthdays.
Sister Marguerite Bunter was thrilled to mark her 103 years! Sister Loreen Spaulding celebrated 88 years! Each sister wore a birthday tiara.
Sister Regina welcomed all. When she announced the birthdays, there was a round of applause.
Sister Bern Alfieri read Loreen’s autobiography, and Sister Cathy Feeney read Marguerite’s autobiography to the group.
Marguerite then took the mike to thank all and to share a few memories.
A birthday video provided the backdrop while all sang the traditional birthday song.
Ice cream sandwiches, cookies, and juice added to the festive atmosphere.
Sister John Mary offered a variety of musical favorites to complete the celebration.
A good time was had by all!
