SSND held a gathering of alumni, family, friends and colleagues at St. Catherine of Siena, McClinch Family Center in Trumbull on June 1st.
Attendees from Connecticut, New York and New Jersey enjoyed an afternoon of reconnecting with classmates, friends, and teachers.
Several people shared stories from their experiences with the Sisters.
Johnna Torsone remembered an SSND teacher who had sparked her love of learning in grade school. She also shared about her own sister, the now-deceased Sister Theresa Torsone, SSND.
Johnna's husband, John McKeon, spoke of his many years as a volunteer for the Sisters. He also said the SSNDs helped their family immensely during Sister Theresa's illness.
Larry Vitulano talked about working with the SSNDs at Fairfield University. He said it had a great impact on him. Since getting involved with the planning committee for this event, he has come to admire many Sisters and the work that they do.
Good food, good conversation and good music was enjoyed by all!
