Beyond Borders and SSND Teacher Training Session February 2020.


Samila – I tip my hat to you for the compelling way you taught us that increased our knowledge of teaching math. The training really did a lot for me: it honed my teaching strategies and gave me new practical, techniques to teach Mathematics. The high quality of the materials that were shared make it much easier for me to be an effective teacher. Thank you!

Roseline – I was really happy to learn subtraction with the professors. They taught me how touch counting is an useful tool to help students who have difficulty doing problems in their head as well as other effective methods like showing where the tens place goes when subtracting.

Yoldie – The training was excellent and helped me improve as a teacher. It provided an easier methodology that at the same time helps students to learn more effectively. It helps me teach more effectively and improve the learning results of my classes.

Dufé Suze – I learned a lot of things in the training. I especially appreciate learning about Rekenreks in my class to practice addition, subtraction, and to make comparisons.

Guy Nose – I'm impressed in the way you did the training. You allowed us to learn of lot of new techniques that work well with my students. I am happy with all the time we shared together in the training. Thank you!

Bonise – Thank you for excellent training went and all the amazing materials you brought to help the children learn Math better. The high quality of the techniques and materials you brought not only make our classes more effective, but make learning fun for our students. I especially appreciated the way of teaching subtraction where students know better where the tenths place is.

Vana – I'm impressed by the techniques that the professors used in the training as well as all the different kinds of learning activities they taught us. I found the learning activity where the teacher hides the block behind their back and the secret number activity especially helpful.

John Benson – I was very happy to learn the number comparison activity. It allowed the student to have a spirit of competition as well as becoming stronger in their comprehension of greater than, less than, or equal to.
