What is your concern about our climate and what actions are you taking to address climate change
A concern I have about climate is that it will soon get to a point where we are unable to do anything to fix it. Something I’m doing to address climate change is conserving energy. I do this by turning off the lights in rooms that are not currently in use.
What initiated your interest in climate issues?
Something that initiated my interest in climate was a TED ED video that talked about how extreme heat would affect our bodies. It explained that if the climate temperature were to get too high there would be lots of medical emergencies because of the excessive heat. Also, a lot of people would most likely be using their air conditioners and fans to cool themselves off and there would most likely be a city-wide power outage.
Is there a connection between your faith and your awareness of, or actions you are taking, in addressing climate issues?
I believe that God called us to take care of the earth and not to just take advantage of it. For example, taking more care of our community by doing service projects.
