Vietnamese Sisters Welcomed to Their New Home at Villa Assumpta

Four Sisters from the Daughters of our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Vietnam have come to live with the Sisters at Villa Assumpta in Baltimore. They will be here for two years, studying English as a Second Language at Notre Dame of Maryland University. Sister Yen Le, LHC, who has been living with our Sisters at Villa Assumpta the last few years while studying at Loyola University Maryland, will assist in orienting Sisters Nga Thi Tran, Len Thi Bui, Thieu Thi Nguyen and Hoa Thi Le.

The Provincial Council warmly welcomed the Sisters to their new home on March 20. There was a great deal of laughter as Sisters on both sides practiced pronouncing each other's names and discussing the meaning of them in their native languages. The Sisters then joined the Council for the daily Mass.

Please offer a welcome of your own if you see these Sisters in the hallways. Sisters who are able to assist with tutoring in grammar, writing, reading and speaking for our visitors are asked to please contact Sister Eileen Eppig.
