Prayer, patience, proper hand washing. Each has helped us deal with this unexpected challenge called COVID-19, a novel coronavirus that has spread fear and heartbreak around the world. All our Sisters have been touched by the virus in some way. Funerals now involve prayer rituals observed over loudspeakers with Sisters in their rooms to maintain social distance. The body is blessed when it is driven by, as we forego gathering in our chapels to pay respects to the beloved Sister we have lost. Associates have also died from the virus, but we can only pray for their families and reach out with a card or a phone call in support. Many of us, myself included, have lost close family, but necessary restrictions have kept us from mourning in traditional ways...
