Academy of the Holy Angels

Academy of the Holy Angels
Knitting for Life Co-founder Rachel Mina explained that her group accepts letters thanking health care workers for their service to others. The teens then pair each letter with a knitted heart and forward these special gifts to local hospitals.
COVID-19 necessitated a virtual and live-streamed version of the Academy of the Holy Angels’ traditional Grandparents’ Day Mass and Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church in Wyckoff graciously agreed to host the event.
During winter break, teachers Carol Fay and Carmen Quiñones, and students Laura Carbo, Valeria Gonzalez, and Julia Swearer made the trip to learn about the realities of life at the border and the support offered by the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
