Twenty Sisters at Villa Assumpta were very pleased with the wonderful manicure and pedicure service they received from seven Vietnamese friends of the Villa on Sunday, November 20.
More than two years ago, the Vietnamese friends came to the Villa to celebrate the Lunar New Year. They brought food and had a great celebration with the Sisters. At that time, they offered to come back and provide manicure and pedicure services, but due to a COVID-19 outbreak they could not do so.
When they made the same offer this month, local leadership made arrangements through Father Bao, SJ for the visit. After the date was set, Sisters signed up for the services they wanted.
"What beautiful service!" raved Community Leader Sister Marianne Roderick." "The foot soak massage and trim was relaxing stress relief and made our feet happy. Besides this grand service, they also donated two foot spa soaking bath massagers and soaking tablets to the Villa. "
Justin, a teenager in the group, entertained Sisters by playing the piano, keeping everyone updated with the football score, and helping where needed. Father Bao was present, too, with friendly conversation.
