The Province of Africa is celebrating their 10th anniversary throughout this year! They recognized another milestone on November 6 with a celebration in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Notre Dame Secondary School in Nigeria. The province created a video beforehand that showed some of the history of the school, including the Sisters from the Atlantic-Midwest Province who were an important part of this educational institution. They also celebrated the Silver Jubilees of Sisters Regina Oluoh and Bessey Eze. Congratulations, Sisters, on this milestone anniversary!

Sister Gabriel Roeder spent much of her religious life working in Africa, specifically in Nigeria. Following Sister Gabriel's death in 2019, a collection of her letters from those days were collated and edited by Roberta Sabin. Uptown Press published the book From the Shade: The Letters of Sister Gabriel Roeder, SSND last month. The book is available for purchase on Amazon.
