Antoinette Cirillo graduated from St. John the Evangelist, Leonia, New Jersey, in 1968. She wrote recently to thank her Sister teachers!
"I came to St. John's in 6th grade from Holy Rosary School in Manhattan.
"It was an adjustment living in Leonia, NJ. Sisters Jacqueline and Catherine seemed so sensitive to that. I remember Sister Catherine, the principal, giving me special math problems to individually challenge me.
"I am sure my fellow classmates, some of whom settled in Leonia, have fond memories of the close-knit community we were in. Our mothers often helped with lunch, time monitoring and other various things.
"It was a wonderful place to grow up in, even knowing that the world has changed since then.
"I wish I could thank the Sisters for all they did and their caring for us."
