SSND General Superior Says Order’s Ministry Remains Strong
Sister Roxanne Schares was interviewed by The Catholic Review on March 30, just as she was beginning her visitation to the province. The interview was published online on April 12. In the interview, Sister Roxanne talks about what mission might look like in the congregation now and in the future.
“Our desire is to really follow Christ radically and to keep finding new ways to respond to mission,” said Sister Roxanne. “I think the charism that we feel we’ve been entrusted with is that longing for oneness and the struggle for unity. When we talk about mission, it’s really about what God’s world needs now, and I think a strength we have is our desire to discern together how we can respond to that call.”
