On Saturday, June 3, the Chicago area celebrated the Jubilees of Sisters Jeanne McGue (80), Lucy Giacchetti (70), Joan O’Connell (70), Lupita Marie Cordero (60), and Catherine Sarther (60).
The day began with Mass, celebrated in Our Lady of the Angels chapel at Marian Village, and continued at a joyous dinner with Sisters, associates, relatives and friends. The meal was prepared and served by the staff of Marian Village.
Father David Medow, Pastoral Care Coordinator at Marian Village presided at the Mass. Sisters Jean Phelan, Carol Brunner, Shirley Stockus and Carol Dwyer led the music.
Jubilarian Sister Joan O’Connell came from Resurrection Life Center and was joined by many family members.
Sister Peg Malone, provincial councilor, was present and led the Sisters in renewal of vows at Mass.
Sisters Mary Juarez and Gail Johnson, from Maple Glen, also joined us.
