As the 31st of October approached, signs appeared around 3rd Floor indicating that Halloween was coming soon.But the goblins, pumpkins and witches did not reveal the future right away.
Then one day, signs saying, “Pumpkins”, “Welcome”, “Knock” and “The Witch is In”, appeared on doors. Something was about to happen.
Large bags of candies, biscuits, and small chocolate bars were dropped off in many rooms. Then, at 2:45 PM, eager groups of Staff and Sisters, dressed in a multi-display of colours and symbols of Halloween, began knocking on doors, announcing “TRICK or TREAT”!
The response, “BOO!”, “WELCOME!” was followed with a grateful response to the request for a treat. The treat was eagerly added to the many other treats which they had collected.
The afternoon was concluded with an invitation to the 3rd floor lounge for coffee or tea with other goodies.
