Villa Assumpta has been all bustle and commotion lately, with our Sisters packing and preparing for their move to Stella Maris.
Recently, I asked four Sisters how they are feeling about their move.
Sister Judith Ring: “It’s no problem for me. I’m perfectly satisfied to go to Stella if that’s what the Good Lord wants me to do. God willing, I’ll be on my way!”
Sister Elizabeth Mary Foster: “There have been lots of tears, but I have come to terms with it. It was hard to keep from crying in the chapel during the Closing Mass on October 5th.
"I was here when everything was moved into this house! I helped write the song ‘Beautiful, Beautiful Villa Assumpta.' But if you don’t let go, you’re not going to grow.”
Sister Rea McDonnell: “It’s hard to leave, but it will be awesome. I’m very glad that everyone is going.”
Sister Anne Vogel: “Can you make the time speed up? It’s taking me longer to get four miles down the road to Stella then it did for me to get to Africa!”
