Notre Dame Preparatory School’s Engineering Design classes held a Tiny Open House showcasing scale models of tiny houses designed and built for real clients experiencing homelessness in the U.S. This assignment brought together academics and social justice, as the students learned how homelessness significantly and negatively impacts one’s chances of receiving employment if he or she is homeless. All designs were based on information the students received about the clients that detailed their needs and interests.
