Over the weekend, NDP juniors and seniors participated in two builds for Habitat for Humanity, one in Havre de Grace, Maryland, the other in Aberdeen, Maryland. As they were pouring concrete and varnishing a deck, the girls helped transform houses that will soon become homes.
On Tuesday, October 24, students, faculty, and staff came together for a special Foundation Day liturgy marking the 190th anniversary of the founding the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND). This celebration was especially meaningful, as it was held during NDP’s 150th Anniversary year.

Earlier this month, marine biology students from NDP headed to Key Largo to five days of scientific study and aquatic exploration. During the trip, the students studied seagrass beds, mangroves, and coral reefs to take water-quality samples and research the area’s biodiversity.
Notre Dame Preparatory School’s beloved Class of Pink and Orange—the Class of 2023—graduated on Wednesday, May 24.
This year the Festival of Music in Nashville, Tennessee, more than 800 musicians from six schools in Maryland, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Ontario, Canada, competed. The 107 NDP student musicians won the Esprit de Corps Award for demonstrating the best offstage behavior, and exhibiting kindness, poise, and appreciation of the other groups. CW Project Greenway and Middle Made give Notre Dame Prep Upper and Middle Level students the opportunity to explore haute couture in a creative, artistic and environmentally friendly way by creating fashion designs out of recycled materials.
NDP Students competed in the decades long tradition of Gym Meet over the weekend of March 3-4. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors marched, sang, danced, and aerobicized their way through two nights of competition and performance for parents and loved ones.
With Women’s History Month underway, the Catholic Review has done a series of articles on women change-makers, including NDP alumna Annette Walter ’95.
On Valentine’s Day, Tuesday February 14, the Sisters at Stella Maris were delighted with a visit from the NDP Middle Level student campus ministers. The students shared Valentine cards with the Sisters made by the Middle Level students as well as a 5-foot long Rosary created by the NDP Kind Club.

Sister Patricia McCarron, SSND, Ph.D., headmistress of Notre Dame Preparatory School, announced on February 2 that 15 NDP students have earned regional recognition for this year’s Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, some taking home multiple honors. All told, NDP students earned a total of 23 awards in creative writing and fine arts categories.
Seventeen leaders from seven sponsored ministries and province departments gathered virtually from all parts of the Atlantic-Midwest Province for the New Employee Orientation (NEO), offered on Tuesday morning, November 9th and Wednesday afternoon, November 10th.
