The tutoring year at Notre Dame Learning Center went too fast!!! The children and students had wonderful sessions and some fun times. We very soon learned that the favorite games played after tutoring were Uno, Jenga, and Pick-up Sticks. On the last week of tutoring, the students were all sent home with brand new books to read during their summer days. We concluded the tutoring season with the NDLC families enjoying a fun afternoon together (pictured) as they watched the Rochester Red Wings win a Sunday afternoon game at Frontier Field against Syracuse.
Pat Rivers interviewed Sister Evelyn and Board members Judy Ekberg and Janice Incavo at the radio broadcast “Rochester Speaks” about Notre Dame Learning Center: its history, students, and volunteers.
During this summer vacation, NDLC staff and volunteer tutors are considering creative, educational updates to the tutoring curriculum. Registration information for the 2022-2023 school year will be sent to our present families in August; in addition, if you know of anyone in need of tutoring send an email to admin@ndlcenter.org. Math, Reading and ELA tutor volunteers are always welcome!!!
Congratulations to high school graduates and former NDLC students Angelina, Jacob, and Mina as they move forward to further educational endeavors.
The “Golfing for Good” tournament, to benefit Notre Dame Learning Center, takes place July 30 at Webster Golf Club. Presently we have 27 foursomes participating; we look forward to a bright, sunny and fun day of golf.
