Sister Carla Marie McCarville, SSND, recently attended a "Sip and Paint" in Waterdown, Ontario. She is truly talented, although she is always concerned that "others are a lot better"!
Sip and Paint is is a fun and social way to explore one's sometimes-hidden creative side. The Sisters all enjoyed a relaxing and informal atmosphere while creating. Some enjoyed sparkling juice while others enjoyed wine as they painted their simple yet beautiful creations.
These creative projects allow the Sisters who may not be able to communicate verbally to express themselves freely and be proud of their creations.
After completion, the paintings were hung in the lounge for all to see and admire. They acted as a conversation starter with the artist.
What a therapeutic activity!
