Chicago Jubilee Celebration 2017

Sisters celebrate Jubilee in Chicago

On Sunday June 2, jubilarians from Chicago and Milwaukee came together to celebrate their jubilee. "We, the jubilarians of 2017, thank everyone who has sparked the flame of our lives throughout these 50, 60, 70 and 75 years of consecrated religious life. We are humbly grateful for your loving and supportive presence, prayer and encouragement. May we together as Community, continue to rekindle and share the light of God's love with each other and those to whom we are sent."

Chicago jubilarians include Sisters Mary Juarez (75 years), Bernadette Teresa Ballasty, (60 years), Mary Lou Henderson (60 years), Mary Bruce Wright (60 years), Barbara Bowers (50 years), Carol Brunner (50 years) and recently deceased sisters, Jane Joyce and John Martha Knybel both in their 70th year of religious life. Sisters Christine Woyach, Jodene Marie Studer and Janet Senderak, all celebrating their 50th jubilee, arrived in Chicago from Milwaukee to share in the festivities. As many know, Chicago was part of the Milwaukee Province until 1965 when Chicago became it's own province. In 2005, Chicago unified with Baltimore and Wilton to become the Atlantic-Midwest Province.
