Mardi Gras Fun at Waterdown

By Sister Gloria Seifried, SSND

Celebrating Mardi Gras with a French flair brought some scenes of New Orleans to our Waterdown lounge last Tuesday.

We were treated to a special King cake our Kim had baked.

King cake is a New Orleans tradition.

It has a tiny plastic baby inside of it. Whoever gets the piece with the baby has to make the cake the following year.

Sister Rosemary Sander discovered the “Baby,” so she will have to bake it in 2026!
