Pray With Us

The Saints
Forgive over and over and over? How do we understand this gospel call to discipleship, which seems so difficult? How is it even possible to live this way? The saints show us.
prayer
The United States has been called to a National Day of Prayer amid the coronavirus crisis. Let us together turn to prayer for an end to this virus and for all the poor of our world who are most impacted by this crisis.
Our provincial elections, scheduled to take place this week in Chicago, have been postponed due to concerns about our Sisters traveling, after the CDC suggested that persons older than 70 stay close to home until the virus has been contained.

Sister Patricia Huesman
Prayer and unity with the SSND mission were key aspects of Pat’s life. The fulfillment of Mother Theresa’s desire for response to the needs of children, the poor and the elderly was lived by Pat. Looking back, one can see all the good things Pat brought to life as she lived the SSND directive: “...

"Prayer is true heavenly food and nourishment for the soul, which will starve without it. It is a remedy for the sick who desire to recover again, joy for the afflicted, strength for the weak, medicine for sinners, delight for the just, mutual support for the entire church.”
