Pray With Us

In Mexico in 1531, Spanish forces had violently taken over the land and oppressed the indigenous people there. It is in this context that the Blessed Mother appeared and chose a poor, indigenous man to bring her message of compassion and peace to his nation and all the world.
On October 14, our province celebrates Canadian Thanksgiving Day with our sisters, associates, and staff in Canada. We give God praise and thanks for all we have received and pray in gratitude for the abundant blessings bestowed upon us, our family, friends, and congregation.
"Hear both the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor." - Pope Francis

Sister Lucy had a love for sports organizing many teams, she said. “I realize how much sports can contribute to a child’s maturing process,” In May 1976, she appeared with nine other SSNDs who were “Named Outstanding Elementary Teachers of America.”
Sister Marie Michelle Walsh
Described as “the kind of Sister you wanted to live with,” Sister Marie Michelle was affectionately nicknamed “Mitch” by her companion Sisters. Quiet and unassuming, always pleasant, always grateful, she was the gentlest of souls and was loved by her Sisters.

"Prayer is true heavenly food and nourishment for the soul, which will starve without it. It is a remedy for the sick who desire to recover again, joy for the afflicted, strength for the weak, medicine for sinners, delight for the just, mutual support for the entire church.”
