Each year on May 9, we remember and look to Blessed Theresa as a guide for our own lives and times, and pray that the charism entrusted to her might continue to find life and expression in all those touched by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. 
Eighth-grade athletes Alessandra Cardamone and Gemma Siliciano, members of the Academy of the Holy Angels Middle School’s first volleyball and basketball teams, earned the Archdiocese of Newark’s Sportsmanship Award. AHA Middle School Athletic Coordinator Sarah Chalmers, who organized these inaugural middle school sports programs, received the Discipleship Award.

The Baltimore Carmelites offer a virtual retreat/event Nov 12-13 on the Theme of   Transforming Spirituality in a Time of Plague. Themes and keynoters align with our province’s focus areas of dismantling racism and the climate crisis.

Our province and our congregation celebrated the perpetual profession of Sister Joan Pikiell, which took place at our Villa Notre Dame Chapel in Wilton, CT, on August 7.
The decision to move the Sisters is not one that was made lightly. “While the prospect of a new home is exciting, it comes with a great deal of sadness about leaving what has, for 60 years, been home for our Sisters,” said Sister Charmaine Krohe, provincial leader for the Atlantic-Midwest Province.
