Spirituality and Prayer

Pray With Us

For all who have contracted coronavirus, we pray for care and healing. For those who are vulnerable, we pray for safety and protection. For all who experience fear or anxiety, we pray for peace of mind and spirit.
Easters Messages
Wonderful Easter Messages from our Sisters across the world!
These past months have been extremely difficult. The world finds itself in isolation, cut off from the touch of a warm embrace and bereft of the presence of one another.

In Memoriam

Iris Ann attended high school at the Institute of Notre Dame. At this time she made “the final decision” to enter the School Sisters of Notre Dame she felt that “God wished her to come to Notre Dame and live her life for Him.”
Sister M. Joanne Brigan, SSND
Always focused on taking care of others, Joanna is remembered by her Sisters as kind, cheerful, and solicitous of their physical needs, her outgoing and friendly spirit endeared her to the many people she encountered in her 60 plus years as an SSND. May Joanna rest in peace and intercede for us.
Sister M Jean Francis Stenger
In 1949, Sister Jean Francis was assigned to the new mission in Yona on the island of Guam. The first trip involved several airplane mishaps, including having a goonie bird (a type of albatross) fly into one of the propellers.

"Prayer is true heavenly food and nourishment for the soul, which will starve without it. It is a remedy for the sick who desire to recover again, joy for the afflicted, strength for the weak, medicine for sinners, delight for the just, mutual support for the entire church.”
