This international conference will examine this remarkably humble servant of God, whose commitment to openness, visibility, and meeting the faithful across the world has transformed the Vatican and, in many ways, reenergized the Catholic Church and beyond.  Our internationally renowned keynote speakers will present on topics such as the environment, economics and justice, a church on the margins, Francis and world religions, and evangelization and inclusion.

  • Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin of the Archdiocese of Newark.
  • Dr. Anthony Annett, Senior Advisor at the Sustainability Development Solutions Network.
  • Dr. Massimo Faggioli, full professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Villanova University.
  • Thomas Higgins, founding CEO (2003-2008) and chairman of the board of Prosetta Biosciences.
  • Dr. Austen Ivereigh, a British writer and journalist known for his two biographies on Pope Francis.
  • Kerry Alys Robinson, Executive Director for Global and National Initiatives at the Leadership Roundtable and Executive Director of the Opus Prize Foundation.
  • Dr. Phyllis Zagano, internationally acclaimed Catholic scholar and lecturer on contemporary spirituality and women's issues in the church.
