NDP students visit Stella Maris for Valentine's Day

On Valentine’s Day, Tuesday February 14, the Sisters at Stella Maris were delighted with a visit from the NDP Middle Level student campus ministers. The students shared Valentine cards with the Sisters made by the Middle Level students as well as a 5-foot long Rosary created by the NDP Kind Club. 

NDP Student Honored in National Juried Exhibition

Artwork by Notre Dame Preparatory School senior Katie McKinney has been selected for the eighth annual National Art Honor Society/National Junior Art Honor Society (NAHS/NJAHS) Juried Exhibition! Of the the 127 artists highlighted, only five students hail from Maryland.

15 Notre Dame Prep Students Receive 23 Regional Art, Writing Awards

Sister Patricia McCarron, SSND, Ph.D., headmistress of Notre Dame Preparatory School, announced on February 2 that 15 NDP students have earned regional recognition for this year’s Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, some taking home multiple honors. All told, NDP students earned a total of 23 awards in creative writing and fine arts categories.

Beginning the SSND Journey Together

Seventeen leaders from seven sponsored ministries and province departments gathered virtually from all parts of the Atlantic-Midwest Province for the New Employee Orientation (NEO), offered on Tuesday morning, November 9th and Wednesday afternoon, November 10th.

Girls develop skills and strength in NDP tech program

“We’ve been kind of bootstrapping this program for a number of years,” said Neil Hrdlick, NDP’s computer science instructor and general technology champion. “We’ve been turning up the energy every year, and we’re getting the groundswell.”

Coach of the Decade - Terry Byrd

After Notre Dame Preparatory School earned the first three Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference swimming titles in its formative years, McDonogh School won the next eight championships. Terri Byrd, NDP’s coach since 2006, then found a way to stop the Eagles’ juggernaut by using the Blazers’ depth to take four out of the next five banners during the past decade.
