Day of the Girl Child!

Today, we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child. This year’s theme is “GirlForce: Unscripted and Unstoppable,” and it serves as an opportunity to honor the achievements of girls and celebrate society’s shift toward gender equality, while reminding us that there is still a long way to go to ensure every girl is able to contribute her strength and ingenuity to our world.

According to UN Women, “Each year, 12 million girls under 18 are married; 130 million girls worldwide are still out of school; And approximately 15 million adolescent girls aged 15-19 have experience forced sex.” Join us as we work to protect and promote the wellbeing of all girls!
