The SSNDs established College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 1895 as the first Catholic college for women in the United States to award the four-year baccalaureate degree. Notre Dame Preparatory School

Over the weekend, NDP juniors and seniors participated in two builds for Habitat for Humanity, one in Havre de Grace, Maryland, the other in Aberdeen, Maryland. As they were pouring concrete and varnishing a deck, the girls helped transform houses that will soon become homes.
On Tuesday, October 24, students, faculty, and staff came together for a special Foundation Day liturgy marking the 190th anniversary of the founding the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND). This celebration was especially meaningful, as it was held during NDP’s 150th Anniversary year.

Academy of the Holy Angels

On Alumnae Weekend 2023, the Academy of the Holy Angels’ Classes of 1948, 1968, 1973, 1978, and 1983 reunited for landmark anniversaries. The two-day celebration also drew enthusiastic alumnae from many different classes and several states.

For the first time, students from AHA Middle School received the Academy’s Sister Catherine Green Kindness Award alongside students from AHA Upper School. Students who receive this award continue the abiding kindness for which S. Catherine Green, SSND, was known.
